James Cameron Announces Avatar 3 and 4 After Avatar: The Way Of Water

The blockbuster Avatar: The Way of Water was a massive success last year, breaking multiple records at the box office. Director James Cameron has subsequently followed up with Avatar 2, which was released 13 years after the first movie in the series. Cameron has now announced that work is already underway for Avatar 3 and 4.

Cameron declared on a chat show that he could no longer ignore the public's demand for an Avatar franchise, revealing that he is set to make more films. During an episode of ‘Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?’, the director stated, “We have enough momentum to make a profit in the next few days, so I’ll have to follow through and make the sequels. I know what I'm going to be doing for the next 6 or 7 years.”

The celebrated filmmaker mentioned that scripts for Avatar 4 and 5 were already completed and they had even started filming some of Avatar 4. They have now started a franchise and plan to continue the story arc over multiple films.
