Indian Women’s team did a good job against Australia while chasing them. However, the unforeseen circumstances somehow led India to lose by just 5 runs. Team India could have won the match if Indian Women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur didn’t get run out. Harmanpreet was the only hope for the team’s victory but her dismissal made the ground go cold.

India lost 3 wickets at just 28 runs after that Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues took the charge. Kaur made a blooming half-century and Jemimah missed her’s by seven runs.
After the match went into an interesting phase, Harmanpreet missed the crossing line while running for the second run when Australian Wicketkeeper Healy lifted the bails from the wickets.

4 years ago, in 2019 MS Dhoni got run out which resulted in India losing the ODI World Cup. Harmanpreet Kaur suffered and went through a similar fate when she got out while chasing. In both cases, MS Dhoni and Harmanpreet were the only hope left for the team’s victory.
Former cricketer Virender Sehwag also shared the moment of heartbreak for Indian cricket fans. He later praised the Indian Women’s team for their hard-fighting commitment.
