QS Asia University Ranking: IIT Bombay And Other Colleges Among Top 50 List

India outperformed China to have the largest number of colleges in the QS Asia College Rankings, news organization ANI gave an account of Wednesday. While a record 148 Indian colleges found their position in the QS Asia College Rankings 2024, 133 colleges in China were in the rundown.

IIT Bombay has secured the top position in India and 40th position in overall Asia. Similarly, IIT Delhi stood second among Indian institutes and secured 46th rank overall.

Peking College of China beat the Asia positioning rundown by getting Rank 1 followed by the College of Hong Kong in the subsequent position and the Public College of Singapore in the third spot. Nanyang Mechanical College, Singapore, and Tsinghua College, China have gotten the fourth spot.

Seven Indian universities were among the top 100 Asian universities. Moreover, the highest number of 37 new entrants were from India. Meanwhile,  China had only seven new entrants this year. In this edition, a total of 857 institutions from 25 Asian countries were ranked. This year, QS Asia University Rankings can also be viewed in sub-regions which include Central Asia, Eastern Asia, South Eastern Asia, and Southern Asia.

The Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT) Bombay got the 40th position, rising as the most elevated positioning Indian organization in Asia this year. It held its situation in the Asian Top 50. As per a public statement, IIT Bombay got a general score of 67.2 out of 100. ” In the 2024 version of provincial rankings, the Organization performed among the best 5% in the QS Asia College Rankings 2024. The Organization was positioned 40th last year as well,” it added.

The university was also ranked in the top 1.1 percent of all universities in Asia. CU is also ahead of nine IITs and five NITs and has surpassed many international universities in the QS World Ranking, including the universities from China, Japan, and South Korea, and other nations.
