More Than 11 people, including two senior citizens and an 8 yr girl died. Over 5,000 people fell sick after an alleged gas leak from a chemical plant in Vizag at LG Polymers industry at RR Venkatapuram near Naiduthota area close to Gopalapatnam.
Whoever was there fell right there. The police and doctors team trouble reaching the injured. Police in Gopalapatnam Circle said they found about 50 people unconscious on the road.
The chemical which leaked is Styrene, which mixes with Oxygen & spreads quickly in the atmosphere. Affects lungs first & reduces breathing capacity which leads to unconsciousness as seen in this visual. Then affects brain and spine.
