Did Lufthansa Flight Deplane Bhagwant Mann as he Was Drunk?

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is again in controversy for allegedly being drunk during work. He was in Germany on a week-long tour and was scheduled to return on September 18.

But, he did not onboard the flight though he reached the airport on time. A few media reports claim that Mann was drunk and thus the flight officials deplaned him.

As per the Indianarrative report, one of the passengers who was also on the flight saw Bhagwant Mann and a few more people entered the plane.

But they left after some time. He also said Mann’s wife and security officers supported him as he was on too much alcohol.

After these allegations, opposition parties have become active and they are criticizing Mann for bringing embarrassment to the whole Punjab.

AAP Denies Claim of Deplaning Mann as ‘Bakwaas’

AAP spokesman, Malwainder Singh Kang, has discarded the allegations and called it ‘bakwaas.’

Chandra Suta Dogra, who is the director of AAP media communications, has also denied the fact Mann was drunk at that time. She said, ” The Chief Minister was a little unwell and would catch a flight from Frankfurt tonight to return back home.”

Officials of the Punjab Government also said that CM was not in good health due to which he had to return from Frankfurt airport.

What did the Airline Say?

On the other hand, the airline’s spokesperson said that flight LH760 did not depart on time due to another delayed flight. They denied disclosing information regarding any passenger on the flight citing data protection reasons.

The flight was supposed to depart from Frankfurt airport at its scheduled time i.e. 1.40 pm. It got delayed by three hours and depart at 4.30 pm.

On his trip, he visited Berlin, Frankfurt, and Munich and also attended DRINKTEC 2022– the biggest trade fair in the world for the food industry.

Mann was warmly welcomed by CEO Messe Munchen at the event. He described Punjab as a state of opportunities for global companies and they would get a preferred environment for investments.

Leading companies also assured him about future investments in Punjab.
