Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Yadav Tests Positive For COVID-19, Manish Sisodia To Take The Charge

Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Yadav was in isolation after he developed COVID-19 symptoms. His test reports were awaited, and today they came out to be positive for novel coronavirus.

Till he recovers, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will take the charge of the Delhi’s Health Ministry.

Satyendar Jain complaint about high fever and drop in oxygen level after which he was admitted to the hospital. On Wednesday he was tested positive for coronavirus.

On Sunday, the 55-year-old minister had attended a high-level meeting on coronavirus situation in the national capital, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, which was also attended by Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal, Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.

Satyendar Jain was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH).

A senior official said:

“He was still running fever and showing symptoms, so we had decided to run another test today, after 24 hours of the first test,”
