A very strong cyclone named ‘Amphan’ was supposed to hit the regions of West Bengal. Strong winds and high tides were observed and today morning the cyclone made a landfall in the west coast of Bengal.

Before the cyclone weakens it will proceed to the north-northeastwards across Gangetic West Bengal and Bangladesh said the Metaeriological Department on Wednesday.
“It is likely to maintain the intensity of cyclonic storm till the morning of May 21,”

People near the coastal areas have been evacuated by the West Bengal govt however the high tides might cause some damage to the property.
Amphan will weaken in Bangladesh said IMD.
Strong winds will be seen in districts of Murshidabad and Nadia of Gangetic West Bengal on May 21.
