How are we going to enjoy cold drinks and popcorns at the cinema halls with our masks on? And with social distancing norms in theatre, enjoying the experience with family or friends might be out of questions. While we haven’t know the government’s last decision yet, the rumor spread everywhere that movie theaters’ in the country will be allowed to reopen from 1 August.
After three months of shut down, cinema halls are ready to welcome the audience once again. To ensure that the new norms are strictly followed, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has passed a set of new guidelines to be enforced by all the cinema halls across India.
While we are waiting for the final decision on the resuming of movie theatres, here are 5 precautionary measures which will be followed when and if the cinema halls resume:
Screening Test Will Be The New Normal:
The body temperature of every customer will be checked with a body temperature detector. Only people with less than 100 temperatures will be allowed to enter the theatre.
Wearing A Mask Will Be Compulsory:
While entering the cinema hall, wearing a mask or cloth cover may be made compulsory to ensure the audience’s safety. Moreover, all the officials, customers, and workers will be asked to pull off masks.
Hygiene Comes First:
Plastic gloves, touch-free sanitizers, garbage bins (to discard used masks, gloves, and tissues) will be installed across all movie theatres to keep safety.
Adjacent Seat Will Be Left Empty:
The seating arrangement will ensure that the adjacent seat will be left empty to maintain social distancing. There are also rumor that alternate rows in the halls will be left empty to maintain a safe distance.
Theatres To Be Sanitized After Every Show:
Deep sanitizing of the cinema halls is recommended between shows to ensure the customers’ safety and hygiene.
