After batsmen and bowlers, all-rounders are the third aspect to measure a team’s strength or weakness. And in the T20 format, they are much needed to provide a perfect balance in the playing XI. 

Having talented and aggressive all-rounders in the team strengthens the middle-order batting and increases the number of bowling options. In every season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), franchises seek to purchase the maximum number of all-rounders to get various options while playing.

#10. Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Rajasthan Royals may have various good batsmen and bowlers in its team, but it still lacks options for all-rounders. If we look at RR’s overall squad, we will find only three names, Jason Holder, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Riyan Parag. 

Out of them, Holder is the only player whom we can call a perfect one. Other than him, Ashwin is more like a bowler, and Parag is more like a batsman. So, we can say Rajasthan Royals is the worst team in IPL 2023, according to the all-rounder’s point of view.

#9. Delhi Capitals (DC)

Just like RR, Delhi Capitals also has a shortage of all-rounders in its team. It also has only three all-rounders, Mitchell Marsh, Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav. However, Delhi is better than Rajasthan as all three of its all-rounders are perfect and performed well in previous seasons.

#8. Mumbai Indians (MI)

No doubt, Neeta Ambani’s Mumbai Indians is the best IPL franchise in the history of this tournament. The team has won five IPL trophies and is famous for its explosive all-rounders. But after the departure of Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard, Mumbai needs to pull in some other players. 

In its new squad, MI features Australian star Cameron Green & Tim David, South African all-rounder Dewald Brevis, and Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar. However, none of them has a great record in IPL. Check out their stats down here:

#7. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

On the other hand, last year’s champion Gujarat Titans also features only four all-rounders in its overall squad. But despite having low numbers, GT is rich in experience. 

Gujarat’s four all-rounders include Hardik Pandya (the greatest all-rounder in India), Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, and Rashid Khan (the best spinner in the world). All of them are very explosive hitters and economical bowlers.

First of all! KKR possess two of the best all-rounders in IPL 2023, Andre Russell and Suniel Narine. Both of them have played more than a hundred matches in this tournament and never disappointed the audience.

First of all! CSK’s squad contains Ben Stokes, the best all-rounder in the world. Going through his records, Stokes has scored almost 1000 runs in IPL, including two centuries and two fifties. Besides him, Chennai has one more popular all-rounder from England, Moeen Ali. He has added too much value to the franchise in the last few years. 

Apart from both of them, MS Dhoni’s team is embellished with Ravindra Jadeja, one of the most experienced players in the IPL tournament. In his long career, he scored over 2500 runs and took 136 wickets.
