BCCI: Team India was stuck in Barbados after the Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2024 title. Heavy rains took the form of a storm on Sunday night and the Barbados government closed the airport and imposed a lockdown. Due to this, India was delayed in returning to the country. Now the storm has stopped in Barbados and today the Indian team will leave for the return to the country.
Due to the storm, the Indian team could not leave Barbados on time. However, now the BCCI has made special arrangements to evacuate the Indian team from there. According to a report by India Today, Team India will leave for India on Tuesday on a special BCCI flight at 6 pm as per Barbados local time. Also, the report said that the champion Team India will reach Delhi around 7:45 pm on Wednesday.

The Indian team will leave for Delhi from Barbados (local time) by charter at 6 pm on Tuesday. The BCCI has arranged for them to reach India by special charter. The storm has now stopped here.
In such a situation, Team India will arrive around 7:45 pm Indian time. Fans are already very excited at the airport to give a warm welcome to the Indian team.
Earlier, BCCISecretary Jay Shah had said that he had to leave on Sunday afternoon, but due to this cyclone, he decided to go with the team. I could not leave the team alone. The team later had to go by another charter.
