How Axar Patel’s Brilliant 86 Runs Stood Out in a Disastrous Day for India D

Two matches are being played in the Duleep Trophy, in which the second match is between India C and India D. In this match, there was a fierce batting from Axar Patel. Axar Patel, playing for Shreyas Iyer-led India D, completed his half-century in a very special way, the video of which was shared by BCCI.

Axar played the biggest innings for the team, scoring 86 runs in 118 balls with the help of 6 fours and 6 sixes. During this, Axar completed his half-century by hitting 2 sixes and 1 four in three balls. Axar was batting after scoring 37 runs in 74 balls. He took Manav Suthar, who came to bowl, on remand and hit a six on the very first ball. Then Axar hit a four on the next ball. The next ball went for a four through leg bye and then Axar completed his half-century by hitting a six on the next ball.

All batsmen except Akshar flopped

While Akshar Patel played a brilliant innings for India D, all the other batsmen of the team flopped badly. Batting first in the match, Shreyas Iyer-led India D were all out for 164 runs, in which Akshar Patel contributed 86 runs.

After Akshar, the biggest innings for the team were by Saransh Jain and Srikar Bharat. Both the batsmen scored 13-13 runs. A total of 6 batsmen of the team could not even cross the double digit mark, in which 3 batsmen could not even open their account.

During this, Vijaykumar Vaishya took the maximum 3 wickets for India C. Rest Anshul Kamboj and Himanshu Chauhan took 2-2 wickets each. Apart from this, Manav Suthar and Hrithik Shaukeen got 1-1 success.
