India's leading automobile company, Tata Motors, is all set to launch its popular electric SUV, the Tata Punch EV facelift, soon. According to reports, the company might officially launch this electric car on February 20, 2026. Several details about its design and features have already surfaced before the launch.
Expected Price of the Tata Punch EV Facelift
The new Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current model. It is estimated that its starting price could be around Rs 10.2 lakh (ex-showroom). After its launch, it will directly compete with electric cars like the Citroën eC3.
Key Design Changes
The Tata Punch EV facelift features several minor but significant changes to its exterior. The black strip previously present at the front has been removed, and it now features a sealed grille design, giving the SUV a more modern and clean look.

In addition, it will have these features:
- Full-width LED DRL light strip
- Updated front bumper
- New aero-design alloy wheels
- New Sunlight Yellow color option (with a black roof)
At the rear, it is expected to have connected LED taillights, a charging port, skid plates, a shark fin antenna, and a spoiler.

The interior of the new Punch EV will be more premium and technologically advanced than before.

The Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to retain the two battery options from the previous model:
25kWh battery (Standard)
Range: Approximately 315 to 365 kilometers
35kWh battery (Long Range)
Range: Approximately 421 kilometers (MIDC)
The long-range variant will offer 122hp of power and 190Nm of torque, while the standard variant will have 82hp of power and 114Nm of torque. Performance and Charging
The company claims that the long-range variant can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 9.5 seconds.
Charging options include:
- 3.3kW AC charger
- 7.2kW fast charger
- DC fast charging support
With a DC fast charger, the SUV can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 56 minutes.

Pre-bookings for the Tata Punch EV Facelift are expected to open soon, and deliveries may begin shortly after the launch.
