Alec Baldwin’s life is going upside down these days. It was just one accidental mistake during the Rust movie shooting that pay him a hard price.

Baldwin is charged by Santa Fe’s district attorney on Thursday due to his accidental shooting incident during a movie Rust, which killed the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins of Ukraine.

Santa Fe’s District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies announced the charges on Thursday adding that they would be filed by the end of the month.

This incident raised the question of safety protocol on the sets of movies.

Alec Baldwin is the producer of the Rust movie. The incident happened on the set of the movie Rust. The shooting took place in New Mexico.

Alec Baldwin and crew were rehearsing the movie scene on the ranch near Santa Fe, New Mexico. Baldwin was rehearsing a shooting scene with a prop gun and then the bullet was fired from the gun.

Which hit on the chest of Halyna Hutchins and injured the film director Joel Souza.

Alec Baldwin said “I don’t know what happened on that set. I don’t know how that bullet arrived in that gun. I don’t know.”

After that incident, Mr. Baldwin filed a lawsuit against the people involved with the film, including Rust armorer Ms. Hannah Gutierrez Reed and Mr. Halls.

In October 64-year-old actor and the film production company reached a settlement for an undisclosed amount with the family of Ms. Halyna Hutchins.

What Charges Alec Baldwin Will Face

Alec Baldwin and armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed will both be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Both of them faced up to 18 months in jail and a $5000 fine if convicted.

Film director assistant director David Halls entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of the negligent use of a deadly weapon and will spend six months on probation.

Mr. Baldwin’s Lawyer Luke Nikas called it -“a terrible miscarriage of justice”.

“Mr Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun – or anywhere on the movie set,” Mr Nikas said. “He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win.”
