The process of linking your Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Aadhaar number is referred to as the PAN-Aadhaar link. Linking one's PAN with Aadhaar is now mandatory according to the Indian government. Your PAN will expire on the 31st of March 2023, if it is not linked to your Aadhaar. You will not be able to use or intimate your PAN if it becomes inoperative and you will face penalties for failing to do so.

Remember that if you don't link your PAN card to your Aadhaar number, you will not be allowed to use it after the 1st of April 2023. The 10-digit unique alphanumeric number (Pan Number) will no longer be accepted after this deadline.

“It is mandatory. Don’t delay, link it today! As per the I-T Act, it is mandatory for all PAN-holders who do not fall under the exempt category, to link their permanent account numbers (PAN) with Aadhaar before March 31, 2023. From April 1, 2023, the unlinked PAN shall become inoperative," a public advisory issued by the I-T Department has already stated.
