You can easily download your Aadhaar card in just 5 simple steps. Here’s how you can do it.
- Visit the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
- Click on the Download Aadhaar option.
- Enter your Aadhaar number, or Virtual ID (VID) or Enrolment ID (EID) and enter security code.
- You will need to enter your Name, Pin code, and other required details.
- Once entered, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Download Aadhaar’.
The Aadhaar card will now be downloaded on your device in a PDF file format. keep the file safe and secure. The downloaded Aadhaar card is a valid document that can be used for many purposes for example: opening a bank account, getting a new SIM card, etc.
Notable to open the downloaded PDF file, you need to enter the password which is a combination of the first four letters of your name in capital letters and your year of birth (YYYY) as shown on your Aadhaar card.
Example: My name is “Anshu DV Vaishnav” and Date of Birth is “13/06/2000”. Then the PDF password is – “ANSH2000”
