It appears that Xiaomi might soon be launching a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro, known as the Redmi Note 12 4G, in India and other global markets. The phone has been spotted on the IMEI website, while the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G launch was hinted at earlier, as the phone was listed on the Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) website with the same model number as the Redmi Note 11 Pro.

The IMEI database of Xiaomiui has revealed the presence of Redmi Note 12 4G model. This is believed to be a budget-friendly phone with model numbers 23021RAAEG and 23028RA60L for global and Indian markets respectively.
The Indian version will not have NFC and its codename is “Tapas”, which is a term exclusive to India.
A new report claims that the Redmi Note 12 4G, codenamed “Topaz”, is expected to arrive with NFC capabilities. The model number 23021RAA2Y has been spotted on the Global market and it is said to come with MIUI 14, based on Android 13.

Under the hood, it will be powered by at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the top-tier option will include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Previous reports have suggested that the Redmi Note 12 4G will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
Moreover, the device was spotted on the IMEI database with codename ‘sweet_k6a_global’, which is similar to the codename ‘sweet_global’ for the global variant of Redmi Note 10 Pro. It was also seen on the NBTC website in December 2022. However, Xiaomi has not confirmed the launch details of the Redmi Note 12 4G.
