Farhan’s Milkha Singh avatar garnered huge appreciation from the audience and critics alike but is his boxing avatar equally good, better, or worst? With the makers announcing Toofaan with big headlines “Are you ready for the storm?” it sounded good and the trailer also promised the same.
Now the storm has finally arrived on Amazon Prime Video, the audience can finally figure out whether it’s a real storm or bluff. Here’s the Toofaan review.
Toofaan Review: The Good And The Bad
50-50 For Farhan
Farhan is a very versatile actor and he takes his roles seriously. His dedication to portrait the boxer’s attitude showed it clearly.
WHAT . A . FILM
Definitely the best film I have seen in 2021 and one of the best sport-oriented films to come out from India! #Toofan pic.twitter.com/A0wvqVvGZi

Thumps up for his role of Aziz Ali but he could not fit into Ajju Bhai’s role.

Thumps Up For Mrunal
On the other hand, Mrunal Thakur brilliantly played her part. Throughout the movie, she remained a backbone for Ajju. Had not been her, Toofan would have calmed down in the beginning, at least that’s what we can say as per the storyline.
#Toofaan delivers what it promises. Rakeysh Mehra has done a good job. Farhan worked really hard and it shows throughout. One hell of a performance. Paresh Rawal brings the life to the character he plays. Mrunal is amazing in her role too. Rest have small but key roles.

The third main actor of the movie, Paresh Rawal did his role well and was seen in a different role for the first time other than his comic roles.

Predictable Storyline Of Toofaan
The story of Ajju Bhai is very plain with no suspense in between. It’s about a local goon turning into a professional boxer. Filmmakers tried to show his hard work and struggle of the journey with more focus on boxing and less on personal life.
But, his professional makeover as Aziz Ali will fill you with motivation and dedication. For anyone who doesn’t know the ABCD of boxing, Toofaan is pretty good stuff.
Talking about the songs and romance, Farhan and Mrunal’s relationship was an old-fashioned one in the movie. The audience won’t see any deep-romantic moments rather the movie shows their relationship as a supporting part.

Mary Kom Beats Toofaan
Overall, the Toofaan movie is a good one for those looking for an action film and not a romantic one. Comparing it with other films based on boxing, Toofaan did not do well than PeeCee’s Mary Kom.
But it’s a lot better than Sultan if we ignore the chemistry with Mrunal and songs as most of them celebrate only Ajju Bhai’s journey. Obviously, Sultan had some pretty good songs.
Average On IMDb
Watched #Toofaan on #AmazonPrime its just an average movie,ek baar dekh sakte hai but Magic of @FarOutAkhtar & @RakeyshOmMehra is missing also some of the feel & presentation is inspired from the movie #Sultan ,Music is okay👍 It’s good movie as overall package.#movies #Indian pic.twitter.com/ZNRBVDvnUu

IMDB gave it a rating of 4.8/10 but Farhan’s transformation for Toofaan deserves 10/10.
