As the number of positive cases is rising day by day, hospitals and doctors are working over capacity to cure Corona patients. Most countries are receiving funds from celebrities, millionaires, and much more to combat against Covid-19. But everyone wants to know how much do hospitals need for treatment? So, let’s look at what it costs to treat or care for a Covid-19 patient.

Corona Tests:
A test kit is a first and necessary thing to find if someone has just the virus or a normal cold. The cost of the test is about Rs. 4,500- authorized by the Indian Government. Moreover, the test is free for people who have an Ayushman Bharat card.
Per Day Treatment Cost:
An estimated cost for treating a non-serious Covid-19 patient- without ICU, ventilators- is Rs 20,000 to 25,000 per day.
14 Day:
The mandated quarantine period is of 14 days for an average patient, which will end up costing Rs 2.8 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh.
Ventilator:
In the treatment that requires a ventilator, the cost goes up to Rs 25000 to Rs 50,000 per day.
PPEs:
A doctor who is treating Covid-19 patients will have to change his/her PPE from time to time, and the cost per kit is up to Rs 750 to Rs 1000.
Medicines:
If patients fully recovered, the costs of the medicines will go up to Rs 1,000 easily.

Apart from all these things, the maintenance cost is also high, like food for patients, room rent at all the hospitals, the cost of an ambulance, and so on.
