Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Shehzada have been in the news since its first announcement. The movie has created the perfect hype during the promotion. The audience also seemed crazy to watch the Kartik-Kriti duo for the second time after Lukka Chuppi.
But the record-breaking run of Pathaan destroyed all the expectations for Shehzada makers. Apart from this, the makers of original film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo released its Hindi dub on 2nd February 2023.
So, due to these reasons, the creators of Shehzada pushed its release date from 10th February 2023 to 17th February 2023. But this decision also went wrong when Marvel released its new movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on the same date.
And as per the recent updates, Kartik Aaryan returned his acting fees for Shehzada and becomes co-producer of the movie. In a recent interview, the actor explained why took this hard step.

In a recent interaction with the media, Kartik Aaryan revealed that he has returned his acting fees to the Shehzada creators and became its co-producer.
In his words, Kartik said, “Earlier I was not a producer for the film. I had taken my fees and remuneration but then there was some crisis that was happening and because the film was going through a crisis, they needed somebody to step up so I asked the producer that I will give up my money for the film and that’s how this whole production thing and me becoming a co-producer.”

He continued, “Almost and that freed the film of the burden in a way. Also, I had signed the film even before Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. So both the films were going hand-in-hand.”
“The budget of this film wasn’t very extravagant thankfully. But since it was an actioner, it does take a little budget and there were certain issues that we were facing at one point because of which I had to give it (his fee) up. And we are in a good spot, good situation with the film and the budget right now.”
