The current Mahindra XUV700, which has been on the market for over four years, is soon expected to be given a mid-lifecycle update. Fresh spy shots have been obtained, through which some new design details of the updated XUV700 are being previewed ahead of its anticipated 2026 launch. Several interior features from Mahindra’s born-electric range of EVs are also expected to be borrowed for the upcoming model. A closer look at what can be expected is provided below.
1. Only soft plastic parts are expected to be updated on the exterior.

2026 Latest Mahindra XUV700 facelift Exterior, Interior updates
On the outside, the updates to the Latest Mahindra XUV700 are expected to be limited to the soft plastic parts, with a new grille and headlamp design being the chief additions. Although the test mule is heavily camouflaged, larger air inlets appear to be featured in the grille section, and a twin pod-like design seems to be adopted for the headlamps. The LED daytime running lamp signature could also be refreshed, and Mahindra could tweak the bumper for a sharper design

Exterior updates
1- New Front Grille
- A redesigned grille with bolder vertical slats has been spotted
- A more upright design is being offered compared with the current model.
2- Changes in Headlamp / Lighting
- Dual-pod LED headlamp units have been observed.
- The updated LED DRL signature is expected to replace the old C-shaped DRLs with a new lighting pattern.
3- Bumpers
- The front bumper has been redesigned, with new air dams and a chunkier, more aggressive skid plate being incorporated.
- The rear bumper also appears to have been modified for a refreshed appearance.
4- Wheels
- New alloy wheel designs have been spotted on the test mules.
- It is suggested that 17-inch diamond-cut wheels may be used.
5- SideProfile
- The side silhouette is noted to remain largely unchanged, with the same window line and flush door handles being retained.
- Roof rails and the overall shape have also been kept unchanged, indicating that the facelift is being executed more as a design refresh than a full redesign.

Design Philosophy / Take
The facelift seems to be more evolutionary than revolutionary: the overall shape of the MahindraXUV700 remains similar,but the front fascia, lighting, and details are modernised. The biggest leap is on the interior: the triple-screen setup will significantly enhance the tech/premium feel. Mahindra appears to be blending its ICE SUV identity with design and tech lessons from its EV lineup (like the XEV 9e), which could make the Mahindra XUV700 facelift feel more up to date.
