11 Covid-Hotspots In Thane Under Complete Lockdown Till 31st March

Covid-19 situation in Mumbai is not improving even an inch even though approx 50,000 people of the city are vaccinated so far. The number of active patients in the city is rising day by day making it a concerning issue for the Maharashtra government following which last month a temporary lockdown was put. The government has decided to expand the lockdown to 11 more locations till 31st March.

Now, the city is under the surveillance of BMC to curb the spread and government has issued lockdown guidelines for the same. As of February 14, Borivali, KW Ward, Andheri East, Mulund, Chembur, Ghatkopar, vile Parle West, and many more areas have become the covid hotspots in Mumbai.

The highest cases and deaths due to covid have been recorded in Borivali as per the records stated by Government. The second major hotspot is Vile Parle West with 378 cases.

Officials have also sealed buildings to reduce the spread of the virus. Even though the figures are concerning for the government, the recovery rate of the city is 94 %. Till now, 992 buildings are completely sealed and 85 zones have been announced as active containment zones.
