Ranjitsinh was awarded Global Teacher Prize- the highest honor for teachers-in 2020. He shared the prize money with the rest of the finalists setting one more example for the world. Ranjitsinhh is known as the man behind the incorporation of QR codes into textbooks.

This year another teacher made it to the finals. Satyam Mishra from Bihar is in the top 50 finalists for Global Prize 2021.

2. Peter Tabichi, Kenya

Peter took a remote school with no better resources and facilities for teaching to the global stage. His innovation, dedication, and passion made it possible. He infuses the same to his students and around 60% of the projects made by them qualify for national competitions.

Peter is generous too and donates 80% of his salary to the poor.

3. Nancie Atwell, U.S

Nancie was the first to receive the Global Prize Award in 2015 for improving the quality of teaching. She has written several books on teaching and also runs a non-profit organization in U.S to give freedom of reading and writing to students.

3. Savitri Bai Phule

The first female teacher of India, Savitri Phule, was the woman with a voice. She raised her voice to support girl’s education, brahmin widows, and women’s rights. S. Phule was an ardent feminist and worked to eliminate caste discrimination.

In 1848, the first school for girls was set up by her at Bhide Wada. Besides being an educationist, she was also a writer and poet. Most of her works are in the Marathi language and one of the best among them is “Go, Get Education.”
