Russian-born Telegram founder Pavel Durov was arrested late Saturday night shortly after landing at Paris' Le Bourget Airport on a private jet from Azerbaijan. Reports claim that Yulia Vavilova, believed to be his girlfriend, was also arrested with him.
News agency AFP reported that since Pavel Durov's arrest, his loved ones have not been able to contact him. This woman may also be the reason for his arrest.

A brief statement issued by Telegram did not give any details of the arrest. Telegram said the company is following EU laws and its controls are 'in line with industry standards and are constantly improving.'
