Vintage And Classic Car Rally To Be Held In Pune

On April 9th, a massive rally for vintage and classic cars, motorcycles, and scooters is to be held in Pune. A press conference was to be organized today to mark the key pointers stating the coming rally.

At the time of the press conference, Nitin Dosa, the chairman of the Vintage as well as Classic Car Club of India, from Mumbai publicized that the 15-km rally will initiate from Turf Club at 9:00 am.

The rally will cross the areas such as Golibar Maidan, Saras Baug, Dandekar Pul, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Garware Bridge, Agriculture College Flyover, Juna Bazar Road, Zila Parishad, and Hollywood Gurudwara Road.

The chief guest of the event is going to be the additional commissioner of Amitabh Gupta. The event will be organized and attended by Subhash Sanas of the Subhash B Sanas Vintage and Classic Vehicle Museum, members of the VCCI, and owners of vintage and classic vehicles. 

A stature cup has been set up in memory of Pune’s first mayor, Late Baburao Sanas, and will be awarded to the best vintage car. As per the press conference organized today, Nitin Dosa highlighted that an identical rally in Mumbai was scheduled and it was a great success. 

The Total Entries

The rally of Pune has been organized with almost 125 entries and will show 70 to 80 very important vintage as well as classic cars. It will also have 30 to 40 vintage scooters and motorcycles. 

It is anticipated that the vintage and classic car rally of Pune should get a positive response as similar to that of Mumbai.  

The rally will show vintage and classic cars possessed by Subhash Sanas, like the Dodge Kingsway used by Netaji Subash Chandra Bose along with the vintage and classic cars possessed by Bollywood and Hollywood Stars.

    • At the time of the rally, Dr. Pritbha Nene from Pune, India’s oldest rally driver will drive an Austin 7. Rolls Royce, Bentley, Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, Morris Convertible, Austin, Ford, and other foreign cars are among the vintage and classic vehicles.

    A lot of people such as Dhananjay Badamikar, Dahanukar, Evan Poonawala, Zaheer Vakil, and the Sabale family, have cumulated vintage and classic cars. 

    The natives of Pune are more than seeking forward to attending the vintage and classic car rallies held by Subash Sanas and his family.
