Tata Steel Vintage, Classic Car And Bike Rally Finally Summed Up

The Tata Steel Vintage and Classic Car and Bike Rally were finally summed up on February 26, 2023.

The rally was done on the occasion of the 184th Founder’s Day celebration appreciating the vision and memory of the firm’s and Tata Group’s founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata. 

The Participation Of Vintages

About 80 vintage as well as classic cars and bikes which launched between the 1920s to 1980s were a member of the rally coming from three states that is West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha. Mainly, it was from Kolkata, Ranchi, Chaibasa, and Jamshedpur cities.

The rally was inaugurated by TV Narendran, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Tata Steel at Gopal Maidan. 

The places which was a part of the rally were Bharucha Mansion, Jubilee Park, United Club, Sir Dorabji Tata Park, Keenan Stadium, and St. George’s Church. 

The 1926th edition Austin 7 car was the very oldest vehicle to be a member of that rally. However, the youngest vehicle was the 1983 Fiat.

At the rally, TV Narendran stated, “The events such as the Jamshedpur Vintage and Classic Car and Bike Rally are lined up with the corporate philosophy of backing steps that keeps, protect, and publicize cultural heritage.”

He further went on to state that this happening was done not only to look at the beautiful models but also to celebrate the city as well as its heritage. This thing is evidence of that spirit. It is an event of our history, our culture, and our people. 

It is an event that highlights the importance of preserving these vehicles, and provides a platform for enthusiasts to showcase their pride and joy.

One of the highlights of the event was the awards ceremony, where participants were recognized for their outstanding vehicles. The awards were given in a range of categories, including Best Vintage Car, Best Classic Car, and Best Vintage Bike.

The final winner of the event in the Best Car category was an MG Magnette ZA of 1955 made which was possessed by Darshan Mukesh Sanghvi. At the same time, the final winner in the Best Bike Category was Anand Kumar Sharma who possessed a BSA ZB of 1951 made.

The event had participation from the citizens of Jamshedpur.
