Vicky Kaushal posted on his Instagram account a picture from Aditya Dhar’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ to celebrate four years since the movie’s release.

Vicky Kaushal posted on his Instagram page a still from Aditya Dhar’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ in celebration of the film’s four-year anniversary. He expressed his gratitude for the support it has received with the caption, “Forever grateful for all the JOSH!!!

After Salman Khan shared the post, his fans and friends filled the comment section with love. His wife Katrina Kaif responded with red heart emojis. One of his admirers commented, ‘Best movie ever’ and another one commented, ‘What a movie it was…I’ve watched it 15 to 20 times already’.

In 2019, Vicky was awarded his first National Film Award for his work in the movie. Incredibly, he almost turned down the chance to work on the project when he had initially read the script, as he wasn’t able to make a connection to the film. He went on to share that he read the screenplay for Uri during the shooting of Raazi and it wasn’t something he initially felt compelled to do. Vicky said that he doesn’t know if it was just exhaustion, but the next day he found himself not feeling connected to it.

Vicky further elaborated that his father Sham Kaushal had discovered the script, read it and warned him that it would be a huge mistake to not take the role. After taking some time to carefully read the script a second time, Vicky was eager to take the role.
