UPSC Aspirants demand extra attempts

UPSC aspirants again come back with their necessary demands. They come to Delhi streets as they want extra attempts for the upcoming exams. Their Mahasatyagraha began on 19 December.

Their demand is justifiable as their attempt goes in vain during the covid-19.  They lost their two precious attempt due to covid pandemic.

These aspirants lost the opportunity as they cross the age limit after the pandemic.

Civil Services Examination (CSE) exams are conducted every year for the selection of Bureaucrats. It is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The selected candidates get the designation of IFS, IAS, and IPS officers.

UPSC aspirants work hard for this exam.CSE exams are divided into three phases: Prelims, Mains, and Personal Interviews.

What are the UPSC Aspirants Demands

UPSC Aspirants demand extra attempts

The demand is raised by those aspirants who cross the upper age limit during the covid-19 and 20.

Their demand is trending on Twitter #UPSCExtraAttempt2023. They rose slogan of Mahasatyagraha 4 Covid Relief by UPSC aspirants at Delhi streets.

The aspirants demand age relaxation and extra attempts for the UPSC exams.

They said that due to covid wave in India their two important years were wasted. Few aspirants cross their upper age limit during that year.

UPSC aspirants also filed a petition in Supreme Court for an extra attempt. Earlier in March, Supreme Court asked the center to consider the representation of some aspirants who were unable to take the UPSC civil services main examination due to COVID-19.

In response to this SC told the apex court that extra attempts for these candidates are “not possible”.

Now UPSC aspirants decided to file a new petition with the Supreme Court for an additional attempt and age relaxation.
