Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid: Many new cars are expected to be launched in the next few months due to the festive season. Recently, Toyota has expanded its manufacturing facility in Bidadi, Karnataka to meet the demand. Soon the company may also launch a powerful version of the Toyota Fortuner mild hybrid.

Toyota launched the Fortuner mild-hybrid model in the international market earlier this year. This new 48V system comes with a 2.8-litre diesel engine. The changes made to the diesel engine will increase its power from 201 bhp to 217 bhp and 550 Nm.

In appearance, the South African-spec Fortuner MHEV is very similar to the Fortuner Legender sold in India. However, in that market, the SUV gets more exterior paint shade options; India only gets the option of dual-tone, white and black.

Like the Hilux MHEV, the Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid also gets a 2.8-litre diesel engine, which is equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The hybrid system gives an additional power of 16hp and 42Nm, giving a total of 201hp and 500Nm of torque. Toyota says that the Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid is 5 percent more fuel efficient than the standard Fortuner 2.8 diesel. The Fortuner MHEV gets a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard, and is available in both 2WD and 4WD variants. Apart from this, Toyota claims that the Fortuner MHEV now gets better throttle response and a new idle start-stop feature to restart the engine easily.

It is expected that Toyota may make some cosmetic changes to refresh the design of this SUV. Talking about the inside, it can also include new technologies like 360-degree camera, large touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats and ADAS.

Overall, the newToyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid is going to come to the Indian market as an updated powerful SUV. With new features and possible design updates, this SUV can prove to be strong not only in terms of performance but also in terms of technology.

New Fortuner can be launched on this day

Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid: Toyota has not given any information about the launch of the new Fortuner MHEV in the Indian market. It is being said that the Ford Endeavour can be re-launched in the country before the end of this year, so Toyota can introduce this SUV in late 2024 or early 2025. Talking about the price, the price of Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid can start from Rs 40 lakh and go up to Rs 53 lakh on-road in Mumbai.

The new Toyota Fortuner MHEV was first launched in South Africa, after which it was introduced in the rest of the international markets. There is no change in the exterior design of this new model.
