1. RRR

One of the best movies of 2022, RRR starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, and Alia Bhatt sold the digital rights to Zee5 and Netflix.

The acquired cost of RRR is Rs 325 Crore making it only movie in Tollywood with highest selling digital rights.

2. KGF: Chapter 2

Rocky Bhai urf Yash starrer KGF whose second chapter released recently made a new record.

The movie collected Rs 1240 crores worldwide to become second after Baahubali 2 in terms of earning.

Filmmakers sold the digital rights to Amazon Prime Video for Rs 320 Crore. However, rights of the first chapter of KGF were sold at only Rs 18 Crore.

3. Dhamaka

Kartik Aryan’s Dhamaka did a real dhamaka on Netflix. It surpassed Laxmmi Bomb as the OTT rights were sold to Netflix at 135 Crore rupees.

Dhamaka was also Kartik’s career best movie which was actually an adaptation of South Korean movie- The Terror Live.

And as per different sources, the overall collection of movie was Rs 30-35 crore.

Kartik and Mrunal Thakur was in the prominent roles in this thriller movie.

4. Laxmmi Bomb

Akshay and Kiara may not impressed us much with Laxmmi Bomb but it still earned a lot of profit.

Digital rights of this movie went to Disney + Hotstar at Rs 125 Crore. That’s why its in our list of Bollywood movies sold to OTT at highest price.

5. Bhuj: The Pride of India

Disney+ Hotstar bought streaming rights of Bhuj at Rs 110 Crore. Movie’s star cast includes Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sanjay Dutt.

Bhuj’s gross earning from box office was Rs 60-75 Crore.

6. Vikram

Kamal Hassan’s influential performance in Vikram made all of us his biggest fans. The movie is ruling the theatres and streaming platforms making it tough for new releases.

It hit theatres on June 3 and now available on Disney + Hotstar.

The popular streaming platform acquired its digital rights at Rs 98 Crore whereas satellite rights went to Vijay TV.

Overall, Vikram made Rs 200 Cr alone from selling its streaming rights.

7. Darlings

Alia Bhatt’s latest release Darlings is also in our list just released and fans can’t stop appreciating her and Shefali Shah.

The movie is special as its Alia Bhatt’s first movie as producer. Its digital rights are bought by Netflix for Rs 80 Crore.

8. Liger

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming movie Liger is already making buzz in the industry for the OTT deal with Disney + Hotstar.

If we trust the reports, the deal ended at 65 Crore rupees.

Liger is a collaboration of Bollywood, Tollywood, and Hollywood. Producer Karan Johar, Charmy Kaur, and Puri Jagannath are making this film together.

Besides this special team of directors, Liger also has actors from film industry outside the Tollywood.

For the first time, Mike Tyson famously known as Iron Mike will be a part of Indian movie.

Ananya Pandya is also in a crucial role in Liger and it is set to release on August 25.

9. Gangubai Kathiawadi

Who can forget Alia Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiawadi. She gave spectacular performance and made the world believe that there’s a powerful woman behind a charming face.

10. Pushpa

Amazon Prime Video bought this amazing movie rights at Rs 22 Crore.

On the other hand, the movie collected Rs 322.6 Crore from box office.
