An independent trust known as Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced a new rule for devotees visiting Tirupati Temple. The TTD oversees the management of several temples, including the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh. The wealthiest and busiest religious complex in the world has its operations and finances managed by the trust. Additionally, it participates in a variety of literary, social, religious, and educational endeavors. TTD is based in Tirupati and has 16,000 employees in total.

Tirupati Temple: Face Recognition 

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced an upgradation for the devotees visiting Tirupati temple. The association has introduced Facial Recognition Technology on an experimental basis at Vaikuntham 2 and AMS system from March 1. Tirupati temple attracts a huge number of devotees throughout the year. The TTD trust has made a new system for making it easier for the devotees.

As per the reports from the TTD website, the devotees can book tickets for a special darshan for Rs 300 from January 12 to February 28. The bookings have already begun on January 9.

TTD’s New Motive

The trust has implemented the changes to mitigate the devotees and improve transparency using the tokenless darshan of Tirupati temple. The new process will prevent people from hoarding the tokens from Sarva Darshan Complex and Caution Deposit refund counters as well.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) revealed a report that shares details about the net worth of the trust. The reports revealed in November 2022, revealed the world-famous Lord Venkateswara temple net worth to be around Rs 2.5 lakh crore is the market value of IT firm Wipro, Nestle, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
