Mukesh Ambani, India’s leading business tycoon and is also titled as India’s Richest Man. He is the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited is considered as one of the most influential and brilliant personalities.

Early Life:

Born on 19th April in 1957 in Aden, Yemen; Mukesh Ambani was the son elder son of businessman Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani. He also had two sisters Dipti Salgaonkar and Neena Kothari and one younger brother Anil Ambani.

Before shifting to Mumbai, Dhirubhai Ambani worked in a firm in Yemen. Dhirubhai Ambani even started a business of his own where he sold spices. Later he changed his direction and moved towards the Textile business which gave him more recognition and appreciation.

Mukesh Ambani’s Education:

Mukesh along with brother received his early education from  Hill Grange High School, Mumbai. Later he got his BE degree from Institute of Chemical Engineering, Matunga. He further went to Stanford University to study Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

However, he dropped out of his master’s course and came back to India to help his father in establishing Reliance Industries Limited.

He also helped his father in setting up of a Polyester Filament Plant in 1981. He also led to the creation of 51 new world-class manufacturing facilities that involved diverse technologies which raised Reliance’s manufacturing capacities manifold.

The success of Reliance Industries made them expand their business in communication and information technology. As a result, the Reliance Infocomm emerged as another leading business held by the Ambani’s.

The Conflict Between Ambani Brothers:

The conflict between the two brothers led to the division of the business, and the ‘Reliance Communications Limited’ was taken by Anil Ambani.

Announced As World’s Richest Man

In 2007, The Economic Times newspaper and the News Agency Trust Of India declared Ambani as the World’s Richest Man.

Now just this Amabani also created his own cricket team Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League.

Mukesh Ambani is married to Nita Ambani and has three children. Akash and Isha Ambani are twins and Anant is their younger son. They recently got married and the marriage was a great affair which had guests from all over the world.

Mukesh Ambani owns the second most expensive house in the world “Antilia”. Their home is ranked just after the Buckingham Palace. The 400,000-square-foot building is situated in one of the world’s most expensive addresses—Altamount Road in South Mumbai.

The home is no less than a paradise for humans. Luxury and grandeur can be seen in every corner of Antilia.
