The Infinix Note Edge 5G is officially launching in India on February 18 at 12 PM, and frankly, this might be the most aggressive mid-range phone launch of the month.
After debuting in select global markets in January, the device is now set to go on sale via Flipkart. With a massive 6500mAh battery packed into a 7.2mm slim body, Infinix is clearly trying to disrupt the under-Rs 20,000 segment.
Let’s break down what’s confirmed, and what this means for buyers.
Infinix Note Edge 5G Display and Design
The Infinix Note Edge 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with:
120Hz refresh rate
4500 nits peak brightness
2160Hz PWM dimming
Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection
That 4500 nits peak brightness is a headline feature. While real-world brightness will be lower, this ensures better outdoor visibility compared to most rivals in this range.

At just 7.2mm thickness and 190g weight, the phone feels surprisingly slim considering the battery size. It also carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, something still rare in this price bracket.
Infinix is offering it in the following color options::
Lunar Titanium
Silk Green
Stellar Blue
The RGB Halo Light on the back adds a flashy touch for notifications and charging alerts. Love it or hate it,it definitely stands out.
Infinix Note Edge 5G Performance
Powering the Infinix Note Edge 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 (6nm) chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
According to company claims, the device scores over 7,50,000 on AnTuTu benchmarks. Independent tests show strong mid-range performance, suitable for smooth multitasking, casual to mid-level gaming and social media-heavy usage.
It runs Android 16-based XOS 16 and is promised up to three major Android upgrades, a bold commitment at this price.
In my view, software updates will decide whether this phone ages well or fades quickly.

Infinix Note Edge 5G Battery
This is where the Infinix Note Edge 5G genuinely shines.
6500mAh battery
45W fast charging (50% in 27 minutes)
10W reverse wired charging
Bypass charging for gaming
Fitting a 6500mAh cell inside a 7.2mm body is impressive engineering. For heavy users, gamers, binge-watchers, and power users, this could easily be a two-day phone.
Battery anxiety? Not here.
Infinix Note Edge 5G Camera and Audio
The camera setup includes the following:
50MP primary rear camera
13MP selfie camera
1440p video recording
It’s not a camera-centric phone, but for daylight shots and social media content, it should perform reliably.
Audio is a surprising strong point. The stereo speakers are tuned by JBL with Hi-Res support. In a market flooded with average speakers, this could be a real differentiator.

Expected Price of Infinix Note Edge 5G in India
Globally, the phone launched at around EUR 170 (roughly Rs 18,000). If Infinix keeps the Indian pricing between Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999, this could seriously challenge brands like Xiaomi, Realme, and iQOO in the same segment.
But if pricing crosses Rs 20,000, competition becomes fierce.
Should You Wait for Infinix Note Edge 5G?
The Infinix Note Edge 5G is clearly targeting users who want a premium curved AMOLED display, massive battery life, stylish design and solid mid-range performance.
I think this is one of Infinix’s boldest launches yet. If real-world performance matches the spec sheet, this phone could dominate the value-for-money category in early 2026.
All eyes now on February 18.
If priced right, this could be the surprise hit of the season.
