The IPL which was supposed to happen from March 29 to April 15 was on halt till the lockdown. But it seems that it will further stay on cessation. The BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly, said that he would talk to the other officials of BCCI. Only after that, any update will be given on the IPL.
In the coronavirus crisis, where does the future of the sport lies? No players from any countries would be able to come due to lockdown as the visas have been suspended. Also, Ganguly said that it is a terrible condition that the world is facing today.
Furthermore, he added that in his entire life, he has not gone through such a terrible situation. He further said, “I hope nobody sees this situation again.” It is unbelievable that so many people have died and do not know how many more deaths will be there in the upcoming weeks.
During the lockdown, Ganguly performs all the BCCI and ICC work daily. Just like everyone else, he is also at home and spending time with family. These moments are rare for him. Besides the BCCI and ICC work, Ganguly said he watches TV for a while and perform exercises. He has a gym at home, so he conducts fitness training daily, he said.
He also said that the crisis is teaching us one lesson and that is- its one life. Therefore, live to the fullest and be happy. No one in the world expected something like this. He also said, what is crucial that you have lived your life and did everything that makes you happy.
