Pushpa 2 star Rashmika Mandanna has got Salman Khan‘s new project Sikandar. This news was announced on Thursday morning. This is a big break for Rashmika as this is her first film with a Khan of Bollywood. This is also his fourth Bollywood film. A.R. directs the film. Murugadoss will be released next Eid.

A source told Pinkvilla that Rashmika has an important role in the film. She added that the actress’ role was ‘well written and scripted.’ Angoor also said that the makers were looking for a new pair and that’s when Rashmika was considered. “Sajid Nadiadwala was looking for a new pair because the script demands it at the writing level. He narrated the subject to Rashmika Mandanna and the actress was excited not only with her role but also with the overall approach of AR Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala in taking the film forward,” said a source.
“It is a strong story that results in drama and an outpouring of emotions. “The completeness of the script has made both Salman and Rashmika excited about the film and both are excited to start shooting in June,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna is still enjoying the success of her film Animal. The actress shared screen space with Ranbir Kapoor for this. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film proved to be a blockbuster at the box office.

The actress will next be seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film will star Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. Recently, the actress talked about the film and gave some details about her character in the sequel.
“It starts to feel like home. Like, when you finish a movie, and by the end of the movie you’re really attached to the cast and crew, okay, so when your part 2 comes out, you’re again like, ‘Hey, what? Happening!?’ And you feel like it’s party time,” she told Pinkvilla. Talking about her character, Rashmika said that now her character is that of Pushpa’s wife. He mentioned that the sequel would have “a lot more spice” and feature more drama and conflict.
The makers have recently released the first song of the film. This song titled ‘Pushpa Pushpa’ proved to be a huge hit. Pushpa 2: The Rule is scheduled to release on 15 August 2024.
