It is usually assumed that Assamese don’t have enough strength but Tridip Medhi has proved us wrong. He is one of the best arm wrestlers who fight in the 70 kg category of men. He has won gold in New Delhi’s Pro Panja League in 2020 and silver in National Arm Championship in 2019.

He is a right-handed wrestler and got 8th position in the World Arm wrestling Championship at Zloty Tur in the men’s category of 70kg.

Manoj Debnath

Manoj Debnath aka The Crusher is a dual-handed wrestler and has won several medals in both national and international events. He won gold in 42nd Championship at the national level. The Assamese boy, Manoj stands at 4th position in Asian rankings and has won the URAP World Ranking series in 2019.

He has also become the face of India’s strength in the Arm wrestling event in China where he won silver. Manoj has been wrestling since his college days and has represented India many times in both World and Asian Championships. Moreover, he has never failed any event and won title throughout his journey that began in 2014.

Chetna Sharma

Titled as “Miss India” Chetna is truly a symbol of a woman’s strength. She is a gold medalist arm wrestler from Guwahati and has won medals in both left and right-handed categories. The 65kg wrestler has also represented Indian in the World Arm Wrestling Championship.
