The prediction made by former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar regarding India and Pakistan being in the final of Asia Cup left many fans with questioning tag. As said before, Pakistan will be hosting Asia Cup this year which is scheduled on September. And therefore, this time, Shoaib Akhtar said that he wants to avenge the semi final match of 2011's World Cup in which Pakistan lost to India.
He even said that he has been eagerly waiting for this and sees India and Pakistan in the finals. He said ' I want to see the final match between India and Pakistan. This time we have to take revenge for 2011's defeat.
Each and every team has already started to prepare for the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup and it will be quite interesting to see whether the prediction of Shoaib Akhtar will turn into reality. Who should take the call?
Sports Minister Anurag Thakur stated that the decision of whether India should go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup or not. Last year, it was said that government will take the ultimate decision but now it has been transferred to BCCI's decision bag.
When questioned about India's showcasing at the upcoming Asia Cup planned for Pakistan in September, Thakur had this to add -"Let the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) take a call on Indian team's participation in Asia Cup first, then only the sports ministry and home ministry will decide.”
