A deep pit dug into the ground

The director wanted to convey the story of this film to the audience in exactly the same way as this incident had actually happened. Additionally, the actors had to actually experience the pain and suffocation that real miners endured while trapped inside a coal mine. He wanted to portray these challenges faced by the miners in a concrete way on the silver screen. In such a situation, he built a set standing high on the ground, and at the same time, his team decided to dig a 35-40 feet deep pit, which became a more challenging and realistic task.

It was a challenging film to shoot.

Considering the subject of this film, our aim was to keep the background and setting original. So we decided to dig a pit underground, which would be about 30 to 40 feet deep, which would be just 1/10th of an actual coal mine.
