Scam 2003: Hansal Mehta Returns With Another Biggest Scam Of India

Scam 1992 is one of the best series so far and the excitement and curiosity get double with each episode. To keep your hook again, Hansal Mehta is back with another great scam story. Recently, he announced his upcoming series on Twitter. Here are the details.

Second Season Of Scam 1992 

“Scam 2003,” it will be based on the life of Abdul Karim Telgi who was involved in a scam worth 20 crores. The series will be produced under Applause Entertainment. Scam 1992 was produced under the same banner.

Telgi’s story was then covered in a book by reporter and journalist Sanjay Singh. The book titled “Reporter Ki Diary” revealed how Abdul executed the whole scam in 2003. This mastermind was born in Karnataka and died due to organ failure.

He was majorly involved in counterfeiting for which he was fined multiple times and send to jail for 13 years.

Hansal Mehta’s new series will highlight the stamp paper scam by Telgi for which he is collaborating with the team of Scam 1992. SonyLIV, Applause and StudioNEXT will be the part as per the sources.

The CEO of Applause Entertainment, Sameer Nair said that audience is very much interested in such real-life stories of masterminds of India so the Scam 2003 will be a great thrill again.

This is not the first time when a producer is bringing Telgi’s story in front of an audience. In 2008, a movie titled Mudrank was produced on Telgi.

A web series titled Paper was also released earlier in 2020 in which Rohit Roy was seen in the role of Telgi. However, the series didn’t release on a big platform.

Hansal Mehta’s Scam 2003: The Curious Case of Abdul Karim Telgi is promising to cover the ingenious scam based on Sanjay’s diary. The shooting will begin soon according to the sources.
