Wednesday morning, IT officers reached the residences of two famous personalities of the Bollywood industry regarding tax evasion. Reports of tax raiding at Actress Tapsee Pannu and Director Anurag Kashyap’s residences in Mumbai have started surfacing since then.
According to sources, the raid is under progress at the properties of those associated with Phantom Films.
The company was established in 2011 by Anurag Kashyap along with Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl, and Madhu Mantena.
Half of the company’s stake was brought by Reliance Entertainment in 2015. But, the company dissolved in 2018 after the MeToo case against Vikas Bahl. The company was revived by Madhu Mantena last year with 50 percent stakeholding and Phantom Films become Mad Man Venture.
Apart from Phantom Films, several celebrity management agencies are also under the radar of the Income Tax Department.

These include the properties of CEO of reliance entertainment, Shibhashish Sarkar, CEO of Kwan Vijay Subramaniam, and Afsar Zaidi who is the CEO of a talent management company Exceed. On-going raids are regarding the tax evasions that began on Wednesday morning.
Tapsee is shooting for the movie “ Dobaara” directed by Anurag Kashyap. Her 2018 release “Manmarziyaan” was produced and directed under the banner of Phantom Film Company. Taapsee will be seen in upcoming release which is a biopic of Indian cricketer Mithali Raj; Rashmi Rocket and Loop Lapeta are also in the queue.
