Sachin Tendulkar is Back. The International Masters League, whose inaugural season will take place this year, is set to bring the Master Blaster back to cricket. The tournament features six teams—India, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, and South Africa in the West Indies. This will set the stage for some old rivalries to resurface as the stars of the future come together in a competitive setting.
The tournament will be held in November in Mumbai, Lucknow, and Raipur, although the dates have not yet been set.
Sachin Tendulkar To Make Cricket Comeback
Sachin Tendulkar and his idol, the only Sunil Gavaskar, who has been appointed as the league’s commissioner, worked together to form the IML. Tendulkar and Gavaskar will collaborate closely with two of India’s most well-known sports management firms, PMG Sports and Sportfive.
The IML is a welcome respite amid the rising popularity of tournaments featuring retired international cricketers like the Road Safety World Series, World Championship of Legends, and the Legends League Cricket. The IML promises to be a more serious and competitive series of matches.
‘Feeling Grateful To Play For Country’ – Tendulkar
“Cricket continues to gain popularity worldwide, not just in India. T20 cricket has grown in popularity and attracted new fans over the past ten years. Fans of all ages now strongly desire to relive classic battles in newer formats. Sachin Tendulkar stated, “Sportspeople never retire at heart, and the competitive streak within them waits for an opportunity to return to the field.”
Sachin’s Carrer After Retirement
Since Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from international cricket in November 2013, he has only made brief appearances. Before starring in the Cricket All-Stars Series in 2015, he played an exhibition match for the MCC against the Rest of the World in 2014 at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Tendulkar was captain of the Sachin Blasters, who were competing in a three-match T20I series against the Warne Warriors, led by the late Shane Warne.
As part of an effort to bring cricket to the United States, matches were held at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
