Rajamouli’s RRR has been met with tremendous success both domestically and abroad. Moviegoers continue to flood the theaters to witness the Jr NTR-Ram Charan starrer. In addition, the song Natu Natu has earned an Academy Awards nomination, and the movie has been lauded by Hollywood directors and actors for its VFX and action sequences.

To top it off, in 2023 Rajamouli won the Best Director Award at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, with the audience showing their appreciation with a standing ovation.

RRR WINS BIG AT NEW YORK FILM CRITICS CIRCLE AWARDS
At the award ceremony, Rajamouli highlighted the power of cinema to captivate viewers by referencing a sequence from the movie Terminator 2. He said, “It was pure joy of awe, like what in the hell we just witnessed. That is what I want my audiences to feel.” Rajamouli was joined by his wife and son Karthikeya, who later took to Twitter to share pictures of his father with the award. Ram Charan and NTR will join Rajamouli in Los Angeles next week to attend the Golden Globes.
RRR, one of the most successful Indian blockbusters, was released in March 2022.
