Ever since the actor Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14, Rhea Chakroborty has been facing backlash and threats. People are accusing her of being a gold-digger and blaming her for Sushant’s death.
There were rumours that Sushant and Rhea dated each other however the news was never confirmed nor denied. The online harassment and toxicity were getting out of hand. The things were going intolerable and the actress finally opened up about the rape and death threats she has been getting.
Rhea shared a screenshot of the rape and death threat and captioned it:
“I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet
I was called a murderer ….I kept quiet
I was slut shamed ….I kept quiet
But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ?
Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment.
I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action.
