2. Kapil Dev

The name of former Indian team captain Kapil Dev is at second place in the list, whose name came up for the first time in 2008 after joining the Territorial Army. The Army raised Kapil as an icon and he was awarded the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Kapil Dev, who won India’s first World Cup, served the country by wearing army uniform and won everyone’s heart by saluting the tricolor.

5. MS Dhoni

Last in the list is the name of former Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who wanted to become a soldier in his childhood, but time made him a cricketer. Under his captaincy, he led the Indian cricket team to victory in many important tournament. Dhoni was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
