Xiaomi is clearly done playing safe in the mid-range market. With the Redmi Note 15 Pro series, the company is pushing features that, until recently, were reserved for premium smartphones. A confirmed launch date, a massive 200MP camera, extreme water resistance and ultra-fast charging, this lineup is shaping up to be one of the most aggressive Redmi launches in years.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series will officially launch in India on January 29, 2026, and Xiaomi has already gone live with a dedicated microsite teasing the key highlights. From what’s been revealed so far, this is not just a routine upgrade, it’s a statement.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Launch Date
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 15 Pro series will debut in India on January 29. The lineup is expected to include two smartphones:
- Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G
- Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G
Both models will be available via Xiaomi India’s official website and offline retail stores. Colour options teased so far include a brown finish with a golden frame and a grey variant, giving the phones a more premium look than earlier Note-series devices.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Camera
This launch is all about the camera. The Redmi Note 15 Pro series features a 200MP primary rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Xiaomi’s HDR+ AI imaging engine.
Key camera highlights include the following:
- Triple rear camera setup
- 200MP “MasterPixel” main sensor
- 4K video recording support
- AI-powered photography features
In my view, this is Xiaomi directly targeting users who buy phones mainly for photography. A 200MP sensor in this price segment is no longer a gimmick, it’s a clear competitive weapon.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Performance
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process. This processor is designed to balance performance and efficiency, making it suitable for gaming, multitasking and long-term use.
Xiaomi is also adding its IceLoop cooling system, which should help control temperatures during heavy gaming or extended camera usage. RAM support is expected to go up to 12GB physical RAM, with additional virtual RAM support for power users.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Battery and Charging
This is where Xiaomi gets almost overconfident and I mean that in a good way.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series packs a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, which the company claims will retain strong health for up to five years. Charging is equally impressive:
- 100W HyperCharge fast charging
- 22.5W wired reverse charging
On top of that, the phones carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, making them some of the most water- and dust-resistant smartphones in the mid-range category. Add Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Xiaomi’s new “Redmi Titan Structure,” and durability becomes a major selling point.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Display and Software Experience
The Pro+ model is expected to feature a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with:
- 1.5K resolution
- Up to 120Hz refresh rate
- Peak brightness of 3200 nits
- 3840Hz PWM dimming
Software-wise, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series will run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, bringing AI features such as AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Interpreter and smart image tools. These additions feel practical rather than flashy, which is a refreshing change.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Price Expectations
Xiaomi has not officially declared India pricing yet, but based on global markets, it is expected that Redmi Note 15 Pro series will start at the upper mid-range bracket. Sale and full price offers will be disclosed at launch.
Xiaomi is trying to dominate the mid-range segment again, just like it did years ago. If the pricing remain quite aggressive, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series could seriously disrupt brands like Realme, Vivo and even Samsung.
