1. Ratan Tata was born in Bombay on 28 December 1937. An elder son of Tata industrialists Naval Tata and Sooni Tata.

2.Ratan Tata studied at Campion School, Mumbai till the 8th Later he studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai, and Bishop Cotton School in Shimla.
3. He went to the US for further studies and joins Riverdale Country School in New York City.
4.In 1955 he enrolled at Cornell University and graduated with a degree in architecture in 1959.
5. After graduation, he worked as an architect in LA and did a seven-week Advance Management Program at Harvard Business School.

6. In 1970 at the request of his beloved grandmother Navajbai Tata he came back to India and join NELCO (National Radio and Electronics) and empower its growth economically.

7. R.J.D. Tata handed over the chairmanship power of TATA Sons on his shoulders in 1991.

8. Under his chairmanship, Tata came as a global brand spreading his empire from the automobile industry to the e-commerce sector.
9. At the age of 75, he stepped down from the position of Tata Sons Chairman on 28 December 2012 and forwarded his power to Cyrus Mistry.
10. Recently he launched India’s companionship startup for senior citizens ‘Goodfellows’ to encourage intergenerational friendships.

Be firm with Your Decision
Ratan Tata throughout his life always firms with his own decisions. He developed the first indigenous car made in India Tata Indica.
Although Tata Motors went into loss and unwillingly except his company members suggestion to sold the car division to Ford.
Ford company owner Bill Ford insulted Ratan Tata and said “When you don’t know anything about making cars, why do you bothered to give it a try? We will be doing a great favour on you by buying this company”.
The deal didn’t go well and he came back to India and started working at Tata Motors it become a huge success.
9 years later when Ford company faced a huge loss, they sell their two brands Jaguar and Landrover to Ratan Tata for $2.3 billion. Ford’s owner said to Tata “you are doing us a great favor on us by buying these two brands”.
Ratan Tata continued the production of Landrover in the UK, where at that time people were so much in sedans and but through Tata’s vision and innovative thinking he increase the sales of Land Rover cars in the Uk.
