Rashmika Mandanna claimed that after winning a beauty pageant, she was offered a role in a movie, but she blocked the number because she thought it was a joke.

On April 5, Rashmika Mandanna turned 27. In a previous interview, the actor, who last appeared in the Tamil film Varisu, discussed her acting debut and how she almost turned down the first offer because she thought it was a joke. Rashmika recalled that when she won a beauty pageant, she received an offer to play a lead role, but she blocked the phone number because she thought it was a prank call.

In 2016, Rashmika made her acting presentation in Kirik Party, which proceeded to become one of the greatest-earning Kannada movies of the year. She won SIIMA Grant for the best introduction for the job. Rashmika made appearances in two Kannada films in 2017—Anjani Putra and Chamak—and has since worked on numerous Tamil and Telugu films.

In an interview with Mashable India in 2022, Rashmika stated, “For Kirik Party they wanted someone young with a mature face.” This was in reference to the fact that she almost did not make her film debut. The production house called me, but I thought it was a joke. In this way, I said, ‘I’m not intrigued by any movies sir, kindly hold the telephone down.’ The number was then blocked.

Rashmika Mandanna stated that the filmmakers attempted to contact her through friends and then a teacher after she blocked the number. She stated, “Because they really wanted to meet me, they tried reaching out through every connection they had.” Finally, they called my teacher.

Under the guidance of the instructor, Rashmika said that she finally met the filmmaker and told them that she doesn’t know how to act. However, after the producers filmed some dialogue, she was chosen for the role.

Rashmika Mandanna who is well-known for her role in the Telugu film Pushpa: With Goodbye, The Rise (2021) made her debut in Bollywood. The film additionally highlighted Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta. Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, Shivin Narang, Shayank Shukla, and Arun Bali played supporting roles in the film directed by Vikas Bahl and backed by Ekta Kapoor.
