Rajya Sabha Elections 24 : BJP Wins 8 Out Of 10 Seats In Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Wins Two Seats

The results of 10 Rajya Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh have come. SP has suffered a setback in Rajya Sabha. SP’s third candidate has lost. All eight candidates of the BJP have won. Two candidates of SP have won. There was massive voting in the Rajya Sabha elections on Tuesday. The counting of votes was halted for some time after objections from SP and Omprakash.

Sadhna Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Amarpal Maurya, and Tejveer Singh have won the elections. Whereas, Sudhanshu Trivedi won the Rajya Sabha elections by getting 38 votes. Alok Ranjan of SP has lost the election.

Voting Takes Place In Uttar Pradesh

Voting took place for 10 Rajya Sabha seats of UP on Tuesday. BJP won all eight seats due to cross-voting of SP MLAs. SP’s third candidate Alok Ranjan has lost. Jaya Bachchan and Lalji Suman have won. Seven SP MLAs cross-voted and voted for BJP candidate Sanjay Seth. It is also coming to light that two NDA MLAs voted in favor of SP.

Samajwadi Party Won 2 Seats

The counting of votes started after voting, but SP and SubhaSP objected by making allegations. Subhashpa accused its MLA of casting his vote without showing up. Two SP candidates have also won. BJP’s Performance In Other States Of Rajya Sabha

In Karnataka, the Congress won three out of four seats in the fray. The BJP managed to win the remaining seat. The election in Karnataka also witnessed cross-voting after BJP MLA ST Somashekar voted for Congress candidate Ajay Maken and another party MLA A Shivaram Hebbar abstained.

In Himachal Pradesh, BJP’s Harsh Mahajan defeated Congress candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi. The voting was a tie with both the Congress and the BJP candidates getting 34 votes, indicating that at least six Congress MLAs voted against the party. The result was then declared based on a draw of lots.
