Kylian Mbappe’s striking performance led PSG to win against Real Sociedad with 2-1 win. He makes sure his rivals as long as he is on the team PSG will remain a dangerous team this year. The PSG comeback into the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time in three seasons.
Mbappe was subbed off in the last two games against AS Monaco & Rennes to whom PSG had a draw. But at this time Mbappe played along all the time till the last moment of whistle. Mbappe said after the match “We knew right away that we couldn’t go to sleep, If they had opened the scoring, they would have pushed on with their fans’ backing. We had to dampen their hopes early on. That’s what we did, and we’re very happy to be back in the quarterfinals.”
At today’s match with his two-goal against the Royal Sociedad, Mbappe now becomes the second youngest player to reach 45 Champions League goals at the age of 25 years and 76 days.
The Dispute Between Mbappe & His PSG Manager Luis Enrique
For the time in Mbappe’s playing history, he sat on the bench and did not play as a starter.It is harsh for a player like Mbappe.In his past three matches, Mbappe has sat on the bench for hours with one goal scored, one win, and two draws for PSG with a huge controversy.
Mbappe whose contract couldn’t renewed and is about to join Real Madrid facing an issue with his team manager Luis Enrique. Luis Enrique is rigid in his stance making Mbappe sit on the bench for the rest of the game and giving him only a few hours or minutes to play the game.
He said “Soon, we will be playing without Kylian, so we need to get used to it. … I am looking for the best options for the team.”
But Mbappe is not happy with the team manager’s stand as he wants more time for him on the field to play for his club and make sure they win the league. But the team is racing towards the 10th title and the race is tight, they couldn’t be able to win the title without Mbappe as he is the best and most aggressive player.
The dispute between Mbappe and the PSG team manager is a clear sign that he said no to the PSG Owner Nasser al Khelafi for his contract extension deal. Nasser is not the kind of man who loves to listen to NO for his contract extension deal.
So he decided that Mbappe would be given a little time on the field and play only when they needed him. But it is Mbappe, for PSG it is not easy to make Mbappe to not play all season.
Without him, PSG couldn’t won the Champions League title but Luis is adamant that He’ll make sure sat on the bench for the rest of the game.
