Poco F5 5G Launched In India; Know Details

On Tuesday, May 9, the Poco F5 5G and Poco F5 Pro 5G smartphones went on sale in a few international countries. Along with triple rear cameras and Dolby, Vision-capable AMOLED screens with 120Hz adaptive refresh rates, the top-tier Snapdragon SoCs in the gaming-focused flagship smartphones are also featured.

Additionally, the plain Poco F5 5G made its debut in India. It has a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC as opposed to the Poco F5 Pro's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The former has a 5,000mAh battery and 67W Turbocharging capability.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model of the Poco F5 5G is priced at Rs. 29,999. The cost of the device with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is Rs. 33,999. Poco is giving the base model for Rs. 26,999 and the top-end model with 12GB RAM for Rs. 30,999 as part of a special promotional deal. 

On May 16, the phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart in the colours Carbon Black, Electric Blue, and Snowstorm White. A one-year guarantee is included with the Poco F5 5G in India, according to Poco.

The 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) AMOLED display on the dual (SIM) Poco F5 5G has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 93.5 per cent screen-to-body ratio, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. It runs Android 13 based on MIUI 14. 

The display is certified to provide 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Additionally, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used to protect the screen. 

The latest Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC from Qualcomm and 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM are both featured in the new Poco phone. With 7GB of free space, the internal memory can be increased to 19 GB.

The Poco F5 5G has a Vapour Chamber Cooling System with a 3725 mm square heat dissipation area and 14 layers of graphite sheets for thermal management.

The Poco F5 5G sports three rear cameras, with the 64-megapixel primary sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS) serving as the focal point. A 2-megapixel macro camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor are also part of the camera package. 

A 16-megapixel selfie camera with video chat capabilities is located up front.

On the new phone, Poco has included 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Additionally, it is splash-resistant and has an IP53 rating. 

The device has a 3.5mm audio connector, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, and 4G LTE connectivity options. For authentication, the Poco F5 5G contains a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has two stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos.

A 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W Turbocharging powers the Poco F5 5G. The battery is said to be fully charged with the included charger in about 45 minutes.
