It has been speculated that Poco could soon be releasing a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C, the Poco C55, to the global market. This budget smartphone features a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a teardrop notch on the front. Last week, the company also launched the entry-level Poco C50 in India.

Kacper Skrzypek (Twitter: @kacskrz), a well-known tipster, recently tweeted that the Redmi 12C is going to be released worldwide as the Poco C55. It is anticipated that this entry-level phone will also be launched in India. It is believed that the Redmi C series of handsets are all rebranded versions of Redmi mobile phones. In fact, the Poco C50 that was launched in India recently is thought to be a rebranded version of the Redmi A1+.
It has been speculated that the Poco C50 could be a rebranded Redmi 12C, which would mean that it would feature similar specifications. The Redmi 12C has a 6.71-inch HD+ display with 500 nits of peak brightness and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC with a Mali-G52 GPU.

The Redmi 12C comes with a dual rear camera setup of 50 megapixels, as well as a LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera. This phone offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 flash storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 512GB.
The Redmi 12C has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W rapid charging technology, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-USB port. It comes in Shadow Black, Sea Blue, Mint Green and Lavender colours.
